Floyd Dorsey

I grew up in the Kansas City area.  I attended Kansas State University graduating in 1978 with a degree in Animal Science.  I went on to Veterinary School and graduated with my D.V.M. degree in 1982.  While at K-State, I met and married my wife Crista in 1980.  Shortly after our marriage, we were invited to a marriage retreat at a local church.  Neither of us were Christians at the time, but were moved by the Holy Spirit to investigate the claims about Christ from the Bible.  After several months of study, we gave our lives to Christ and were baptized together on November 5, 1980.  We have attended Flint Hills since 1991.  I have served as an Elder, Sunday School teacher, youth dude, cook, etc.  My wife and I believe all members of the body should be busy serving in some capacity at all times to advance the cause of Christ, which is the making of disciples and strengthening the flock.  We have four children, and at present, 5 grand children.  I own Dorsey Animal Clinic, and have had my business since 1983.  I am now a deacon serving the church in the area of transportation and administering the Good Samaritan funds to those in need.
