Ever since the Fall, the world has been under the dominion of darkness.   We know this.  However, this truth seems more apparent every election year.  The angry vitriol, advocacy of evil, and lust for political power remind us that this world is not our home.  Such an onslaught can tempt us to withdraw from society and wait for Christ to return.  Others may take the fight to the enemies attempting to conquer this world for Christ. But Paul calls for a “wiser” way:

Ephesians 5:15–16 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
